India’s education system continues to produce some of the most successful individuals in the world every session and every year. Many foreign governments now seek to emulate the nuances of this process so that it can be replicated for their country’s benefit.
Yet this success and acclaim is not without its costs. Individuality and personal choice are often sacrificed at the altar of so called academic success. Parents and wards alike blindly ape a die cast process which culminates in feelings of inadequacy and a lack of personal fulfillment in the long run.
It would be unfair to lay this blame squarely on our education system, which can do only so much. The lack of professional counseling, support groups and accurate information about the varied career options which exist today is Young India’s bane.
The Academié wishes to address this situation with various initiatives which encompass all the phases of as student’s development. It seeks to empower students at the school level with information about career streams and college and university scholars with the tools to make informed career choices and also enable them to realize their choices.
